This muster roll is the work of DAR Genealogist Patricia Romangna of the Princeton Chapter, New Jersey Society, DAR. This is not a complete list of officers, soldiers, militia, camp followers, ferrymen, sailors, marines, clergy, committeemen, or other citizens loyal to “The Cause” who lent aid and comfort to Washington’s Army during the winter campaign in the Delaware Valley - December 1776 to January 1777. David Burton's pension states he was in reserve during the Battle of Princeton.
Two Isaac Shermans- Lt. Sherman was at the Battles of T and then later assisted the MA Line.
Private Sherman was not in the battles
Please Note that “Shippin” is not related to the Shippen family.
John Fleming was unmarried; however, his sister attempted to receive his pension
Not clear if Benjamin Mann was present was noted at Trenton

Peter Salem, an African American soldier fought at Trenton. Reinlisted on Jan.1, 1777, Payroll for Jan. 7 notes "Not joined.
Stephen Sutphin was first owned by Guisebert Bogard who sold him to be a substitute for Casler Boyer/Bergen
Robert/ Prince Green- Analysis used to indicate participation wounded at Monmouth. Mentioned was in many battle before he was 90 yrs old
Robert Hopps- Analysis used to indicate participation. Joined for 6 years prior to the Battle of Princeton
Ned Bradley, James James and Philip James are mentioned in Peter Jennings pension.
